Water Crossing Notes: Manageable at the water level of the day. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The Moat Mountain Trail from the Red Ridge Trail upper junction to Middle Moat needs brushing and blowdown removal, and blowdown removal only for another half mile north of that junction. There are dozens of blowdowns, averaging 8" diameter, mostly step-overs. Thank you to any available trail maintainers.

Dog-Related Notes: Good boys and girls, have fun but be careful about the ice if it's still there.

Bugs: Wayyyyy too windy. 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One pair of inexpensive sunglasses and its popped out lens found. 
 
Comments
Comments: It was a blast hiking these peaks in the brisk wind. Most of the ice is on the north side of North Moat. We never put on our light traction devices but we were really glad we had them in case of need; others might have used them in places, but you can avoid the ice with care.
