Manageable at the water level of the day. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The Moat Mountain Trail from the Red Ridge Trail upper junction to Middle Moat needs brushing and blowdown removal, and blowdown removal only for another half mile north of that junction. There are dozens of blowdowns, averaging 8" diameter, mostly step-overs. Thank you to any available trail maintainers. |

| Comments: |
It was a blast hiking these peaks in the brisk wind. Most of the ice is on the north side of North Moat. We never put on our light traction devices but we were really glad we had them in case of need; others might have used them in places, but you can avoid the ice with care. |
