| Comments: |
Trail is dry with some minor / avoidable mud on the lower portions up to around 3000'.Snow begins to appear there and a minimal covering is constant above 3500'. Some icy sections, but nothing too serious. We had spikes, but never put them on. The rocks above treeline were free of snow and dry making for easy scrambling o the ridge line. Winds were just too viscous for us to continue to the summit from there. Flying ice chunks made the decision to turn around an easy one. "Maddy" isnt going anywhere and she will be there when we try it again! |
