Trail Maintenance Notes: Close to a dozen large blowdowns on Carter-Moriah mostly between South Carter and Zeta Pass that will require a chainsaw to remove - we moved several smaller ones throughout the course of the day. Wildcat Ridge trail is a bit brushy in spots per usual - otherwise trails in pretty good shape.

Comments
Comments: What a great day for this traverse. Patchy ice started around 4000ft on North Carter Trail, on and off to the junction, some but less so on the ridge - all was easily stepped around so no traction needed. Gradually clearing skies and multiple layers of different cloud types made for some neat changing views of the Presi's. The only place we used spikes all day was for a few hundred feet headed up to Carter Dome - still up to 2-3' of snow in places. Very spotty patches of ice and snow headed over to Wildcat Ridge but no issues headed down into and up out of Carter Notch. A few extended areas of snow and ice on Wildcat Ridge Trail in the cols between C and D peaks but easily navigated around. Uneventful walk down the ski trails.

Ended up being a beautiful sunny day with almost no wind. Saw only about half a dozen people the whole day (thanks to the caretaker at the hut for the awesome brownies). Fantastic day out with Ali and Hannah - great day to try out some new gear and finish up round 4 on Wildcat D!
