| Comments: |
Bee lined up the ski area to the recognized highpoint of Mt. Rosebrook (just above the top chairlift). Grass isn't too tall yet (maybe 6").
Stayed with the topmost ski trails as we worked toward Mt. Oscar (aka West Mountain). Soon thereafter, we noticed a hiking logo sign on the left and hopped onto it (a snowshoe trail). This trail basically stayed on the height of land, along the WMNF boundary, all the way to the top of Mt. Oscar. Nice change of pace from the ski trails.
Superb views of Zealand Notch from the Mt. Oscar ledges. Wind kept the black flies down a bit.
Descended via the ski trails back to the base lodge. |
