a few at York Pond Trail and when we got to Starr King it was grand central station!! |

early one on York Pond at dam, one board out..the next crossing done easily no bushwack needed..all others done easily |

many blowdowns on KRT after York Pond Trail jct over to Waumbek summit then none down to parking |

saw quite a few and well behaved ones thankfully |

they were buzzing early not biting too bad..we had to juice up 3 times |

really enjoyed the Kilkenny Ridge Trail over the Weeks'; great forest and vegetation...footing really good (not heavily traveled I guess!!) we did see 3 groups of backpackers heading over the KRT for 2 or 3 day trips..2 separate spruce grouse males putting on great display.. |
