Lovely lupine in bloom on the access roads..some very wet and muddy spots to the junction with bypasses forming around most of them. Not much in the way of flowers along the trail..maybe if the sun comes back out. Everything was very green. Lots of downed twigs and leaves from recent storm and it poured hard here as evident by the scoured out trail. Found some deep mud in places. There was a drizzle layer just to keep my tuesday streak alive but mostly dry today with limited views. I even saw my shadow by the cabin. Waterbars did their work along this route during recent rain..I did a little cleaning along the way. The ridge past the cabin was cool and breezy...great air..a layer of clintonia with only a few in blow about to get hidden away for the season by the now foot high ferns..Gorgeous day out..never saw anyone all day.. |
