Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One birch tree across the trail at about 1.2 miles that is easily stepped over. Trail blazzes could use a refresh. Many are faded and hard to spot.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Black files at the summit were voracious. Trail appeared to have been empty for some time so they were anxious to get a bite. Could not stay on the summit for more than 5 minutes. Even in a strong breeze.

Comments
Comments: The trail was very dry compared to the last ascent of Moat I did back in the Fall of '11. There are spots where it is not always easy to find the path. This is mostly about 2 miles in and through to the summit. Lots of scrammbles over rock ledges and the yellow blazes are very faded.
