Parking/Access Road Notes: Room for a few vehicles at the turnaround area next to the gate on Quinttown Road.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant

Water Crossing Notes: Nice new bridge on the J Trail

Trail Maintenance Notes: DOC was doing Level 2 work in the upper elevations, building some much needed bog bridging. Quite a few stepover blowdowns. Brushing needed too.

Bugs: Not too bad at a jogging pace. Maybe a few black flies and a deer fly, but none for too long.

Comments: Quinttown Road walk was a dry gravel walk.


J Trail had some mud pits, but also lots of smooth sailing. Fairly tame grades, generally good footing. Nowhere near as wet/muddy as my experiences on Ranger and Daniel Doan.
