| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking by Diana's Bath and Passaconaway Road. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easy rock-hops. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Between Middle and North Moat: blowdowns, and trail needs brushing. Could use more blazes and/or cairns between South and Middle Moat. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Dry and hot trail most of the way. Bring extra water for your dog -- more than you think you'll need -- you'll be glad you did.
The little scrambles up North Moat were no problem whatsoever for Max (border terrier). |
|
| Bugs: |
Not too bad. |

| Comments: |
Nice traverse today. The ridge walk is fun, but look carefully for the blazes heading north after you've passed South Moat. They are few and far between, and it would be easy to get lost up there (above treeline) if there was limited visibility (there are only one or two cairns).
We did the traverse from south to north -- jumping into Diana's Bath felt good after the hot hike. |
