Comments
Comments: Nice day with views in and out of the clouds. Brief rain shower while hiking down Carter Dome Tr. to Zeta and few rumbles of thunder nearby as going up to South Carter. Lots of nice folks met (thru-hikers, hut folks and day-hikers). A couple groups unsure of actual summits. My 2 cents worth (hopefully usefull to someone using this site) was that there was a small sign about 1" x 8" on tree a few yards off trail for South Carter and then for Middle Carter the summit was right on trail with a small cairn and magic marker print "Middle Carter 4610'" on a dead standing tree. If traversing through you hike right by summit or if doing out & back from Carter Hut side; when you reach the high open area which seems like summit continue north to nearby wooded hump. Also thanks to the "Berlin native" for the ride making the last couple of miles on 16 go much quicker.
