The hike to the hut was fabulous - the dogs loved swimming in the lake and playing in the mud bogs there were on either side of the foot bridges leading up to the hut |

About 1/2 mile from the top on Kinsman Ridge there is a jumble of boulders that is very difficult for the dogs. I turned around because my 2 year old lab did not want to climb that section and my other labs pads were getting abused |

Went back the following week without dogs and decided I was happy that I turned around when they were with me - the boulder section is very rough as compared to the other 38 4k footers that I have hiked |
