Parking/Access Road Notes: At 6:00 am, Appalachia lot 3/4 full with cars from people staying overnight at the Madison Springs Hut.

Water Crossing Notes: all easy 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Hincks trail had some water running down it, with some especially slippery, slimy rocks. Maybe needs some water bars? 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Talus on northern Presi's is sharp and unavoidable. I wouldn't recommend taking a rooky hiking dog up here, as they need tough paws for this one.

Comments: Star Lake ascent to Mt. Adams is quite a scramble, more so than the routes on the west side of the Adams summit cone. Lovely day above treeline. It was nice talking to Francois about his 2012 ascent of Mt. Everest.
