Found a pair of child's sandals deep in the mud. Fished them out...if they're your kid's, then email me. Otherwise, I'm going to clean them off and have one of the girls use them next summer. |

I've been wanting to do this loop for a long time. Good times. Here's the breakdown on trail conditions...Basin-Cascades Trail: easy to lose the trail, watch carefully for blazes and markings. Kinsman Pond Trail: rotting bog bridges and the upper section is a river-trail, reminded me of Rocky Branch and Isolation trails. Kinsman Ridge Trail: well-maintained. Lonesome Lake Trail and Around Lonesome Lake Trail: both are well-maintained. Cascade Brook Trail: a bit confusing around water-crossings, difficult to find blazes. Pemi Trail: a few blowdowns, and a bit confusing at one crossing, look hard for trail on other side. |
