 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Follow directions in the AMC Guide. If the small lot fills, park along the road. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
One, bridged. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Thanks to trail adopter Bill for keeping all those waterbars clear, and brushing. No blowdowns. Down low, this trail could use more hardening in the mucky spots. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Four-legged friends, you'll be glad to know that the notorious six-legged "friends" were nowhere to be seen. Cajun squirrel dog Maple, you're a GOOD GIRL! |
 | Bugs: |
The handwritten signs warning about a wasp nest must be from a warmer season. I stayed on the trail the whole time, including doing the small loop at the top and the side trail to the view of the lake, and never saw a wasp or a nest. I left the signs so other hikers can make their own decisions. |

 | Comments: |
This was a nice hike. Another hiker who took the snowmobile trail to avoid the alleged nest said that it is still wet on that trail. |
