Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Thursday, November 28, 2013
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Spotted a car at Blue Shutters Beach, only car there when we arrived in the morning. 2.5 hours later there were several cars belonging to people enjoying the beach on a sunny cold holiday. No parking fee this time of year. We parked the other car and then started hiking at Buckeye Brook Road. Another car or two when we started, but none when we got back. Room for several cars there in dirt lot.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A few small stepover blowdowns and one duckunder, which shouldn't bother anyone less than 5'8". The woods trail part of the section was all in Burlingame State Park and the trails were in good condition. Boardwalks through the swampy areas were all in good shape, having been installed within the last several years and have apparently been replaced when needed.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Someone found a pair of safety glasses and left them on one of the big rocks at the trailhead. Probably lost by a trail biker.

Comments
Comments: Last section of our Wapack-Midstate-North South trail hike (but not necessarily in that order). About 190 miles total. Great day. What is next? Maybe Metacomet-Monadnock Trail? Thanks to Snapsquatch and the Glass Ballerina for a nice day on the trail.
