Comments
Comments: Prior to the junction with the New England Trail, the trail was generally snow free and dry (just a few minor patches of mud). Once reaching that western ridge, there was a coating of snow. A little slippery in places, but not enough to warrant light traction.
Really nice views ascending the southern leg of the loop with lots of cliffs and other rock features. Excellent views from the bitter cold summit. The trails packed more punch than I thought they would, and had a more woodsy feel than expected.
