Date of Hike: Friday, August 21, 2015
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Roadside parking at a pull-off along Rt. 101 across from the trailhead. There are now roadside signs marking the entrance to the trail. A sign at the trailhead states access is only from 8am to 6pm. The state of RI now owns the hill, but the trail abuts private property on both sides. Please respect the neighbors.

Water Crossing Notes: Hahaha! NO.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The trail is in fantastic shape. Clear signage and two USGS benchmarks have been cleared and signed for enthusiasts of such. I think that is new since my last visit. One branch down across the trail, I guess technically it's a blowdown. ;)
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure!
Bugs
Bugs: A couple of fly-ey things.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Since I was passing through the area, I decided to stop and hit RI's state highpoint (812') again. This hike is a very taxing 200 yards with 10 ft. of elevation gain. ;) There's now an artistic cairn on the summit boulder, and prayer flags in the trees above. The guest log in is a metal ammo box (the old mailbox is gone) and is damp, but not too bad.
