Round Mountain, Mt. Frissell, Mt. Frissell (South Slope), MA/CT/NY Tripoint, Brace Mountain (NY)
Absolutely beautiful day to hike the highest point in CT, and then some! Besides a little "diversion" on Mt. Washington Rd, the hike was excellent and surprisingly steep and rugged, with some scrambling. The views weren't too shabby, either! Temps in the 70s all day, sunny skies, and absolutely no snow or ice to speak of! Felt like summer! Complete contrast to the Whites. After today, I've highpointed all six New England states as well as NY. New Jersey is up next, whenever I have the time, money, and motivation to drive all the way out there... |
