Comments
Comments: Posting to comment on the parking on Rt. 6. Plows maybe bumped into the bank an extra foot or two. In past few seasons when snow has been decent in area they have plowed back quite a bit more giving some room to feel at least a bit comfortable getting out of your vehicle. Be safe as no one slows down on that part of Rt. 6 and barely any room to park roadside. Might be better off parking on one of the side roads down the hill to the west and road walking to trailhead (if you can find an area where banks have been cleared back a bit).

-10 and about 12+ inches of snow on the metacomet Sunday AM. West side of mountain had some decent drifts to work through. Went up both days over the weekend (return was to see if the parking area was to touched at all). Was the only one that went up over the weekend it looked like. Dog loved it. Can't complain for a central CT snow hike.
