Very minimal parking on CT341. Dirt pull off right at the trail can hold 4/5 cars if parked tight. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All water sources are flowing nicely since the last rain. Great cascades to fill from. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Met the trail maintainer for this section. What a great job clearing one tricky blowdown. Trail is clear. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Bring water! Even though it's flowing, it is far apart and with the humidity, dogs need water. |
|
| Bugs: |
Do snakes count?? 6 total (5 garters and 1 black racer). Also a Blue Tailed Skink (endangered and rare). Oh, and skeeters too. |

| Comments: |
6.4 round trip from CT341 Kent to Schagticoke Tent site to tighten up those miles and set myself up for vacation. Lots of Northbounders still coming through. I have 3 a ride to the outfitter in Kent on the way out.
Mt Algo is a wooded summit but going over the second hill and out to the tent site there are a few views and some great hiking. |
