Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Due to recent rains, water is high in this area. Guinea Brook is a ford up to the knees. Isis and I took the road walk.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One significant blow down but the path is worn around it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: There is plenty of water on trail right now but always carry enough for you and your dog(s). The train is easy to moderate with plenty of ups and downs. Be on the look out for critters and snakes and keep control of your pups. Make sure they can handle a long distance hike if going longer than a weekend. The section we did was 11 miles.
Bugs
Bugs: A few skeeters.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: NA

Comments
Comments: From West Cornwall Rd to Stewart Hollow Brook Shelter Southbound. It was good to have all the elevation gain and loss at the start of the trail and then the flatter section by the Housitonic River at the end of the day. Nice stretch of trail. Looking forward to the last 23 miles of the state.
