Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot plowed and underused for Washington's Birthday.

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One 2 to 4" deep 1.5 to 2 miles from Sawyer River Rd, just before the true climb begins. Your snowshoes and boots WILL get wet. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One step-over, and a couple walk-arounds. Many snow-covered branches at shoulder height and above. It would help to be under 5' tall, as the trail thru the evergreens is not clipped for winter use.

Dog-Related Notes: Judah could've negotiated if Jason carried him over the brook.

Comments: Nicely packed trail, but not firm enough without snowshoes. 8.5 hours car to car, but felt longer lifting snowshoes and heavy boots.
