An out and back trip on the Pachaug Trail from the Beach Pond boat ramp to Great Meadow Pond. The first mile of this hike is the best part. The trail goes through an area of cliffs and small gorges with tall hemlocks and vernal pools. The rest is on trails or woods roads. 4 miles each way. |
