Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Spotted a car on Rt 14 by pole 116. We parked it on the shoulder. Passenger side was in the picker bushes. Other car was at our starting point at Shady Acres Restaurant on Rt 6. Plenty of room there, it looks like the Davey Tree trucks don't park there anymore.

Dog-Related Notes: Met some friendly dogs at some of the houses on the route. Nice three-legged dog on Moosup Valley Road wanted to follow us. We asked him what life was like after losing his leg. He said "Rough".
Bugs
Bugs: Got a tick on me after a roadside pit stop. No problem with flying bugs.

Comments
Comments: Third section of our North to South trek on the North South trail. From Rt 6 to Rt 14. This section is 100% public roads, mostly paved. But a lot of the scenery was decent. Snapsquatch took a bunch of pictures. Dr. Doolittle found some dogs to talk to. Weather looked threatening when we started out but it did not rain at all once we had started, and just a sprinkle when we finished. Took about 4.5 hours to cover the 11 miles at a fairly leisurely pace. Looking forward to getting back in the woods for the next section.
