Broke trail through increasing depth, 6" lower became a foot or more by Taft lodge, then thigh-to-waist deep up into Eagle Pass (3,990') where I ran out of time trying to bust on to the Adam's Apple (4,060'). Met two ascending pairs on my way down so some packing out is happening, but snowshoes and patience are needed. Low visibility, not too windy, temps in the teens. |
