Comments
Comments: After getting turned around Christmas Eve I had to come back. The L.T. is packed for snowshoes to Eagle Pass. Climbed up through the Chimney toward the Chin, decided it looked too difficult at the top out, went back to the pass and crawled under cauliflower-like snow loaded trees to treeline on the Apple (4,060') where it was hard windblown snow. Heading down I turned up Profanity even tough it was untracked and steadily worked the deep snow and route finding into the gully system. Pleasantly surprised to make the Chin (4,393'). Profanity is a "feel your way" endeavor 'til you reach the gully proper, with ski tracks here & there but little sign of the summer trail. Now we can break it out again next week!
