Comments
Comments: Could not drive down because of a blow down so walked on dirt access road along stream past grassy area on right through a small field then to the washout,,crossed and followed trail along west side of washout for a 1000 feet. Then back on the access road to the tarpaper shack on the left ~ 1 hour mostly flat. Stayed on access road climbing steeply for anther 1 hour with a stream on your right for more than 1/2 of the time.
Came to the "T" intersection and went right, gradual climb, 10 minutes came to a fork. Took right fork another ATV trail climbed steeply again for 1/2 hour or so.
Went by a small cairn on the right that we think went to the old tower site.
Made it to the "doorknob" junction which is also the way to the old tower site.
Took the trail on the left and followed to the junction where there was an old sign which said summit .2 of a mile.
Made it to summit in 2-1/2 hours.
Snow on upper section, very wet and lot of mud everywhere.
Finally got to see the pitcher and the doorknobs.
Thanks everyone for the beta.
