After driving from southern VT I was unpleasantly surprised to find North Road closed at the old asbestos mine entrance. At the Eden General Store I was told the road washed out a couple of months ago beyond the mine. No estimate on when it will be repaired. Since my plan wasn't to hike Belvidere per se, I found my enjoyment elsewhere. |
