Open water in all streams but no difficult crossings. |

See comments below. Experienced winter-hiking dogs should not have any problems. The snow-fields and drifts may be heavy going but dogs might not punch through and probably be able to stay on the surface. |

After a few hundred yards of icy trail the rest is pretty much covered by snow - increasing in depth with elevation - and traction is greatly improved.
The last 1/2 mile to the summit has snow-fields and drifts with heavy snow - up to 18" in some places. Snowshoes or crampons would be more effective on this section but microspikes were fine all the way. |
