Comments
Comments: First 1 1/2 miles of Jerusalem trail went from packed powder to 3-5 inches of loose powder. This trail intersected acres of sugar bush matrix throughout the woods. Trail then became a deeply set snowshoe path with loose snow to get through. Long trail was marked pretty well with white blazes and lime green tape but was deep and drifty at times, with lots of heavy snow covered bow to duck under. Trail finding became difficult once we got close to the highest ski lifts just prior to the summit. Skiers created many pathways obliterating any sign of trail. We stayed high on ridge and eventually came out on ski trail, stayed to the right and eventually tucked into the woods again to find the summit.
Wore snow shoes the whole day and packed it out as best we could but it could use a few more hikers to really make it nice.
