the trail is in great shape. mostly dry with a few damp sections. a fair amount of ongoing rock work in the upper sections of the trail.
nice afternoon hike after south mountain earlier. these two peaks could definitely be combined in one hike, but i was interested in checking out the trail to the north so broke it up into two. really nice piece of trail with good walking. views from the summit tower were quite nice with good looks to the peaks of the killington and manchester areas as well as a long distance look to the adirondacks. great day in vt.
