Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Seems to be a lack of blazes along this route. More on the way down, than up, but still lacking. Stood for 5 min in one spot confused about which of the ski paths was the trail. One the way down it made slightly more sense, but the only blaze I could see (and only because I walked past it) was on the side of a tree rather than the front of it. Only saw one blaze total on the Profanity Trail and no sign marking the start of it. One blow down on LT with packed path around it
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few down low, one up high. Routes are steep and could be hard/slippery for a dog

Comments
Comments: Long Trail on this side of the mountain is seeing way more ski traffic than hiking traffic. This combined with the lack of blazes makes it hard to follow the right route at times. I had no issues with any skiers I saw though. Profanity Trail has had very little if any hiker traffic on it. It was a hard push up to the summit using it. In some places the skiers had it packed hard, in many places I kept sinking in though. Would be tricky to come down this route as well. A couple hikers were headed up to the summit from Taft Lodge using the LT, so that should be more broken out, but still potentially icy. Most of the traffic today seemed to be coming up Sunset Ridge Trail or something else on that side of the mountain.
