Great night hike with John C. We had to wait till 5PM to start our hike due to Sugarbush rules, but at least the hiking pass was free. There was plenty of parking that time of day. Easy up and down the recommended ski trails with the whole hike taking less than 3 hours. Nice views up on the ridge tonight. Long trail looked packed out past the summit.
On the drive up we checked out Lincoln Gap Road for a possible climb up Abraham in the near future. We were able to drive to within a mile or so of the long trail. There was a skier on the road and someone had taken a snowmobile up so the road should be an easy hike. I did not get any new information on the condition of the Long Trail in this direction. |
