There's enough snow on the Long Trail that it could use a brushing out. It felt like we were bushwhacking on the upper half of the trail. |

Easy trail for dogs although I'm not sure if they'd be allowed on the ski trails. |

| Comments: |
The long trail was packed out but soft enough that snowshoes were required. None of us had done Big Jay before so we didn't know what to expect. It was a big wide herd path, heavily used by skiers looking to ski the glades on Big Jay. Neededless to say, it was packed and simple to follow. It was a little tricky to find the actual summit since skiers don't care about that. We basically followed the herd path until it ended and turned right into the woods and went approximately 100 feet. We spotted the sign barely sticking out above the snow. |
