Peaks Camel's Hump, VT
Trails
Trails: Monroe Trail, Long Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Monday, August 10, 2015
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Not many cars in upper lot when we got there and only a couple in the lower (winter) lot. Lots closer to full when we returned. Remember that the gate to the upper lot gets closed around nightfall when the Alpine caretaker comes down so best to park in the winter lot if you think you are going to get down late.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only a couple of minor crossings. No problem.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail in good condition.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several dogs, mostly well-behaved and leashed, as it should be.
Bugs
Bugs: No issues.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Brown T-shirt hanging on a bush. We left it there. Dog leash on the ground in the upper parking lot. We left that there too. I found a Camelbak bite valve near the summit. I picked it up as it is always good to have a spare. I might sterilize it first.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike, nothing too strenuous, gradual ascent, felt good after doing the Hell Brook Trail the day before. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Fig Bag and Fig Bag Jr, along with Lone Wolf, for a nice day.
