Comments
Comments: Long Trail up was in good shape. Gets a bit rocky near the top. When you get to the ski trail, the LT crosses straight across and works up over the rocks less than 50 ft from the ski trails to the summit. Bushwhack start was easy to spot. It's just after a potentially slippery rock slab on the LT and less than 100 ft from the fence. Go left around the blow down at the start and it's easy to follow after that. Most of the major mud pits have heard paths around them. You'll still get muddy though. In places the mud was at least 10-12 inches deep. Canister/jar was just behind and to the left of the red sled on Big Jay. Did the Jay Camp Loop on the way down in hopes of finding a water source so I could pour some over my head and cool down. Nice brook at the camp. It was hot and humid today with very little wind.
