Comments
Comments: There were a couple of inches of fresh snow on the trail over a packed base. Opted to wear Hillsound trail Pros today as we knew the Laura Cowles trail would be steep and icy (thanks Flo and Joe). Kept these on the whole day. Could have worn snow shoes as well. There was some deep drifting in a few spots near the summit. Went down the Sunset Ridge trail. Above treeline it was very windy and knocking us around at times. Goggles very helpful today. This is #65 for Joanie and Suzanne for NE67 winter. Total miles 7 including the road walk to the gate. Closing in.....
