Hillsounds to trail junction above the hut. There was more board and ski activity then hiking. As long as I'm going in the right direction on a packed trail, what does it matter? Got some great glade views that I have not had previous.
I changed at the trail junction into kahtoola crampons and more wind protection for my legs. I should have changed lower, wind was quite cold. Left my bag and poles did the chin in crampons and ice axe. I was impressed with the amount of snow at the higher elevations. |
