Parking/Access Road Notes: Where Rt 108 is closed off there is a parking area. Less than a 1/4 mile of easy walking on snow to the LT trailhead.

Surface Conditions: Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction, Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Minimal and easy to cross. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Generally well-blazed. A number of ski-track crossings nearer top of Long Trail and on Profanity, so be aware. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Well-behaved, sweet-natured dogs having good time on closed off road area.

Comments: Thanks to David Katz's notes we chose the Stowe side of Mansfield to avoid ice on Underhill side. Same great snow conditions. We got off track on Profanity but found a way up. Fab views on the Chin. We went down the same way.
