Comments
Comments: Perfect trail conditions for this hike today. Spiked up at 2800 feet (1/2 mile from trail head)(the start of the monorail) to the summit of Jay Peak.
Finding the start of the Herd Path was easy since we saw some faint tracks. Still 2 1/2 - 3 feet of hard pack snow going to Big Jay. You may want to
consider bringing snow shoes if you're going to visit Big Jay in the next few days since the temps are rising and snow pack getting soft. We followed
moose tracks to the summit and the poor thing was post holing most of the way.

Great time out with my main squeeze on this beautiful, blue bird day.
