Comments: Excellent Loop - thanks for the recommendation and you know who you are :)

Anyway, I highly recommend the Green Mountain Club's "Day Hiker's GUIDE to Vermont" for the trail information. Maple Ridge Trail was FAR more challenging than I was expecting - there were a couple scrambles that actually had me QUITE nervous - like a slab with just finger holds. There was also a place where you are FORCED to jump across/down maybe a 3' gap - not a problem but there is a >5' deep chasm below - YIKES - I would NOT want to descend this trail or take it in rainy weather although perhaps there are bypasses - ? Awesome, just AWESOME!!!!! Forehead was really neat!!!!!

Now, along the ridge.... I really wanted to go to the "nose".... ummmmm, the signs for the RF radiation off the LT were quite beat up and on the ground - I wasn't sure they were valid, so, I started up the nose. I followed the blue blazes until I was ALMOST at the top of the semi-legit area when someone official-sounding from the toll road parking lot started yelling at me, "YOU, UP ON THE NOSE - YOU NEED TO TURN AROUND - THAT TRAIL IS CLOSED!!!!!" I had forgotten I was NOT in my beloved "live free or die" state and was instead under VT rules - YUCK.

Cantilever rock on the Sunset Ridge Trail was amazing, as was all the shiny silvery rock on the Sunset Ridge Trail.

Very fun day!!!!!
