Snow is minimal on the lower trails, but drifts are high on the LT. I wished I had snowshoes on the ridge. The drifts on the ridge made me decide to get Haystack from Hazen Notch (however, when I tried to do it in the afternoon, I found that Rt. 58 is closed through the notch).
I could not find the Tillotson spur on the way up due to snow, so I bushwhacked and took the path down. Both Tillotson peaks are a short distance west of the LT and are recognized. Some tracks went up Belvidere from the south. |
