Comments
Comments: Just adding the other half (Fire Tower Tr. side)to Flask's report Tuesday. Fire Tower Tr. smoother and more packed than Ridge Tr. Ridge Tr. did get beat up quite badly last Saturday; I noticed this on Sunday and it was far worse today. Main reason for report is to let anyone know about section heading up to Fire Tower. It was fine last Saturday but from Sunday on the ice floes have gotten very challenging. I've been using Hillsound Trail Pros and using bypass (which is on right if heading up). Sketchy enough so that I was relieved to have time enough today to go down Ridge Tr. rather than back down Fire Tower Tr. In summary expect hard ice at top of Fire Tower Tr. and lots of post holes on Ridge Tr.
