Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: New, larger lot put in back in May has worked out well eliminating most of roadside parking which could have slowed down an emergency situation. Park closes today so access to beach parking lot will be off Beach Road adding 3/4's of a mile each way. Gates likely to be open during deer hunting season.

Comments
Comments: New bridge and reroute on Ridge Tr. as well as new parking lot this year. Another reroute flagged and initial work in process to replace another eroded section of Ridge Tr. Does not appear to be any additional work done on planned trail connecting Mountain Brook Nature Tr. to the Ridge Tr. although flagging still present. Trails wet, muddy, slick in spots from recent wet weather but easy grades throughout. Nice seeing 5th grade class from Georgia (in Vermont) enjoying trails on a less than perfect day. Colorful foliage last Thursday but in the clouds yesterday and today unfortunately.
