Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All streams were easily crossed. Though the trails were muddy, the water table is still low.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in good shape. There is a new stairway next to the rope on the Middlesex trail about 2/3 of the way up, and some new puncheon along the White Rock trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I saw several, so apparently the slippery trails weren't a problem for for canine types.
Bugs
Bugs: None - we had a hard freeze last night.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing to report.

Comments
Comments: The colors were past peak but still gorgeous. Cool, crisp autumn day and a memorable, if rather treacherous, hike. There won't be too many more like today this year.
