||Mt. Worcester, VT|
|Date of Hike:
||Monday, November 12, 2018|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||The road into the lot is icy and has some dips and potholes. The lot is slick. I got my small car in and out with care. |
||Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow - Drifts |
||Light Traction |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||One major birch blowdown has traffic walking off trail. |
|Lost and Found:
||The trail started as packed powder and ice, with complete snow coverage. Light traction was perfect. About 0.2 shy of the summit, all tracks stopped. I continued in about 6in. of unpacked powder to the top, where the views are very nice. There were some tricky scrambles, but all were doable with light traction.|
This hike finished the VT 3000 footers for me.
