A few small brooks of running water. Easily crossed by stepping over or single rock hopping |

Found a pair of black sunglasses with red lenses on the trail. Left them in the snow and didn't see them on the way back. |

Bottom portion of the trail below 2500' was well traveled and easy to follow; mix of snow, ice, wet leaves and mud. Snow really began to fill in between 2500'-4000'. After the Hell Brook/LT junction the snow got deep in many places and filled in between the rocks. I'd never been up Mansfield before so finding the right tail to the top was difficult. |
