We hiked up Sunset Ridge Trail to the Chin because it's a little shorter than going by the Nose but about a mile from the summit, the trail wasn't broken anymore. We continued for a little over a quarter mile before realizing we weren't prepared enough for a safe ascent and turned back. Snowshoes are necessary to not make your life a living hell going up, start early, and bring buddies to help share the workload because the last 3/4 of the trail this way has not been done yet. |
