Comments
Comments: We were expecting a pretty tough day with trail-breaking at least on the herd path to Big Jay, but there was none of that (save the 30-40 yards or so just before the Big Jay summit). Hikers, and especially skiers, broke things out very nicely, allowing us to make great time. Go get 'em! Thanks to Mike, Lynn, Marcia, and Dan for a great hike. And thanks also to Jay Peak - we stepped inside a "foyer" on the lower level of the summit building to warm up, even though the rest of the building wasn't in use; it was very helpful to get a quick reprieve from the frigid cold and winds for a bit.
