They have staff directing overflow parking along road on busy days; very helpful and keeps things organized. I parked (10:30) about a 1/4 mile out and looks to have extended possibly another 1/4 mile out during day. |

Few broken planks in between Forehead and Nose and a short ways north of Nose. Caretaker at summit said material up there just waiting to be hauled over. |

Few spots on Maple Ridge where dogs may need assistance. |

Pleasantly surprised that they were not an issue today. |

Lower (shaded) sections of trails were wet and slick. Saw a few falls. Exposed sections nicely dried out. With later start and/or avoiding Sunset for your climb you get much less crowded conditions. Still busy trails but not Lafayette/Lincoln like. Favorite Mansfield loop of mine for many years. Lots of open hiking with views. |
